The Christmas calendar includes a plethora of activities perfect for multi-generational families, friends, tots to teens, and the young at heart – there is truly something for everyone! Whether guests are seeking a tranquil break in preparation for the New Year, a traditional Christmas full of eating and merriment, or a fun-filled festive break with the twist of basking in the Maldivian sun, Cora Cora Maldives has the answer.

IT’S BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS

Guests can revel in a tropical Christmas with the white-sand beaches, crystal-clear waves of the Indian Ocean, and sunny skies of the Maldives whilst still enjoying the classic Christmas traditions! The festivities start on 20th December with the lighting of the Christmas tree where the guests and staff of the five-star resort come together for the colourful show that indicates Christmas has truly begun – perhaps a carol will sound in celebration! The theme of colour continues on 21st December as families can enjoy building gingerbread houses with the culinary team on the island. Guests can also partake in a cupcake decorating class to make festive-themed tasty treats. For a truly exceptional cinema experience, families can come together to watch a classic Christmas film beneath the starry night sky of the Maldives, rounded up with a bowl full of popcorn.  Of course, Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without a visit from Santa Claus! Father Christmas is making time to visit the luxurious island with some festive surprises in his bag – the perfect start to Christmas morning.

CORAKIDSÒ  KRISTIKA

To celebrate the festive season, the CoRaKidsÒ Club has a jam-packed itinerary full of exciting activities for children aged three to 12 from 20th Oṣu kejila 2022 si 7th January 2023. Across the festive break, children can enjoy a multitude of adventures from arts and crafts, such as Christmas Wreath Crafting, Origami Christmas Tree Making, and Candy Cane Décor Craft to water-based events such as Fun Pool Splash, Marine Wonderers, and Mini Beach Olympics, to active ventures, such as Pirate Hunt, Obstacle Course, and Goodies Scavenger Hunt. On Christmas Day, children can partake in Pin the Nose on the Reindeer, Festive Face Painting, and of course, meeting Santa Claus.

A FESTIVE FEAST AND CHRISTMAS SPIRITS (of the beverage kind!)

One of the best parts of Christmas is the delicious food and drink over the season. Guests can indulge in this tradition as part of the premium all-inclusive Gourmet Meal PlanÒ present on the island. Guests seeking to quench their thirst can enjoy several themed cocktail evenings, exploring the notes and stories of wines from the Old and New World with the resort’s Sommelier, sipping three to 12-year-old whiskey whilst watching the stunning Maldivian sunset, and go on a journey for the tastebuds with the expert Mixologist using cognac as a base for colourful and refreshing drinks.  Cora Cora Maldives is renowned for its gastronomy, and it perfectly combines traditional Maldivian flavours with contemporary menus, except this December with a festive twist.

SILENT NIGHT – A CHRISTMAS IN PEACE AND TRANQUILITY

For guests who wish to take a step back from partying and seek to use the festive season to rejuvenate their body and soul and rest their mind in preparation for the New Year, the MOKSHAÒ Spa & Wellbeing Centre represents a sanctuary of relaxation. For a tranquil outlet for creativity, the spa hosts various workshops including bath-bomb-making classes, shampoo bar-making classes, candle tutorials, aroma therapy workshops, sound healing, massage class workshops, and herbal poultice. Wellness Practitioner, Numthip Puntha is visiting the MOKSHAÒ Spa & Wellbeing Centre across the festive season and offers treatments specifically designed to take guests on a journey of self-discovery, reconnect the body with the mind and soul, and help guests embrace Cora Cora Maldives’ It’s Freedom Time ethos. For guests who wish to take something home for loved ones or continue the feeling of wellness and relaxation when back in the UK, the MOKSHAÒ Spa & Wellbeing Centre has several [COMFORT ZONE] kits and gift sets available to buy with prices starting from US$ 45.

GLITZ AND GLAMOUR FOR NEW YEARS EVE

Cora Cora Maldives are continuing the celebrations beyond Christmas and delights in welcoming the New Year with their guests. Yet again guests and staff come together for the final sunset of 2022 and toast the exciting prospects of 2023. As day turns to night, a scrumptious buffet, bottomless cocktails, and dance tunes fill the resort, so people are free to start 2023 in the best way possible! The party doesn’t stop when the clock strikes midnight meaning guests are free to dance the night away.
