The President & CEO af Vietnamjet, Ms Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao has been named in the World’s 100 Most Powerful Women list 2019 by Forbes, following her inclusion on the list of Asia’s most powerful women. Ms Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao is the only woman representing Vietnam for three consecutive years.

As of 13 December 2019, Forbes estimated that the total asset of the self-made billionaire Vietjet’s CEO was around $2.7 billion, which also makes her the only female Vietnamese in Forbes’ Dollar billionaire list. Ms Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao also chairs a multi-sector Sovico Group, HDBank and many other real estate businesses.

The Forbes World’s Most Powerful Women list, includes women in business, finance, media, politics, social / philanthropic / NGO and technology sectors. The annual ranking is based on multiple categories such as asset quality, media exposure, segment and international influence.

The No.1 in Forbes’s list in 2019 is German Chancellor – Angela Merkel, followed by Managing Director of International Monetary Fund – Christine Lagarde, Speaker of the U.S. House of Representative – Nancy Pelosi and Melinda Gates.
